Russo Mansion, served as a boarding school for girls, was seized by the Governor of Izmir, Rahmi Bey during the First World War, and was given back to its owners with the end of the war. Although we do not have clear information about the Russo Family, we know that they stayed at the Forbes Mansion when they first arrived in Izmir, and then settled in the Russo Mansion.
